Hansa

Hansa's "Portraits in Nature" is a hand crafted collection of realistic plush animals. Artists working in a socially and environmentally responsible studio create each Hansa animal from portraits of the creature in its natural habitat.

The "coat" of each character is meticulously cut by hand, never stamped out by machine. fabric for the spotted or striped animals is custom designed and manufactured in small lots to Hansa's exacting specifications. Gentle pawa, swishing tails and soulful eyes and faces are lovingly detailed to give each character the life-like look that is unmistakably Hansa.

Hansa animals appeal to collectors and animal lovers of all ages. The life-sized pieces have exceptionally strong, yet lightweight, structural metal frames and can even be "ridden" by children and adults (up to 250 lbs). Each piece comes with a teaching tag describing, in detail, the animal's habitat, lifestyle, gestation period, care of young and eating habits.
